Magic of the Masters, Tournament Package
Attendees of The Magic of The Masters event 2009 will stay in the finest hotels available and play golf on world famous courses that have hosted the US Open, The Ryder Cup & in the future the PGA Championships.
Hosted by ex England football Legend, David Platt, the tournament format is sure to provide enjoyment, competition & rivalry with the added bonus of being sandwiched in between the most prestigious golf tournament in the world.
Tournament Format
The Magic of the Masters 2009 is a team event based on a Ryder Cup format.
The two teams will be captained by Ex England Football Captain David Platt & Former European Tour Professional David Screeton. A draw will take place to determine which team each player plays in (*) prior to the event.
Before each round the captains will select the pairings and tee slots for their team with this information remaining secret from the other captain. The format is match-play, ¾’s of full handicap s taken against the lowest handicapped playerinthe4-ball. The winning pair in each 4 ball will gain 1 point for their team, ½ a point each will be awarded for a match drawn.
Double points will be played for in the final round. Each team will have it’s own tournament apparel and the winning captain will pick up the Magic of the Masters trophy at the end of the event, with individual medals for the team members.
Tournament Schedule
Wednesday 8th April
Upon arrival you will transfer to Pinehurst Golf Resort and check-in to your Manor Room. This evening a welcome dinner will be hosted by the two David's.
Thursday 9th April
Following breakfast guests will have the option of playing a warm up round before the tournament begins with 18 holes on Pinehurst Number 4. This evening dinner is served in the Carolina Room where the draw for round two will take place
Friday 10th April
Following breakfast you will take on the challenge of Pinehurst Number 2 for the second round of the Magic of the Masters Tournament. Following the golf the group will transfer to Augusta where they will check-in to the Staybridge Suite Hotel which is located just half a mile from the Augusta National.
Saturday 11th April
Today you will witness the third round of the Masters Golf Tournament 2009. With full VIP hospitality and guaranteed tickets to the Masters, this will be a day that you will never forget.
Sunday 12th April
After witnessing the winning putt and you will be transferred from Augusta to Kiawah Island where you will check-in to the 5* Sanctuary Hotel
Monday 13th April
Following breakfast the draw for round three of the Magic Masters Tournament will take place before the two teams go out to do battle on Cougar Point. This evening is free to relax and unwind at your leisure.
Tuesday 14th April
Following breakfast you will have time for what might be the most challenging round of golf of your life, 18 holes on the renound Ocean Course. This is the final round of the tournament and will be an experience to savour!
Following the golf a presentation ceremony will be held and prizes will be presented, before you are free to relax and unwind in the wonderful surroundings of the Sanctuary Hotel.
Wednesday 15th April
Following breakfast you will be transferred back to Raleigh Airport in order to catch your flight home.
